I LOVE photographing senior portraits. I love trying something new with each senior. These are a few from a recent shoot.  I also want to say that if you have or are a senior graduating in 2011 be sure to reserve your session now! Spaces are filling up very fast.

And yes, that is a REAL settee that we took down to the river and put into the water. It turned out AMAZING.

Time has flown by! So many babies, so little time. I’m way behind on blogging. Not for lack of wonderful subjects to photograph that’s for sure!  Nancy and I have been traveling all over Virginia photographing awesome families from all walks of life. We love meeting new people and are always excited to work with the little ones.

Because we are traveling so much the $75 session fee has been increased to $125. This covers time, talent and travel expenses and we LOVE being able to work outdoors at your favorite park or in the comfort of your own home.  Little ones are much more relaxed when they can run into their own room and pull out a favorite forgotten stuffed animal  to show us and explain the reason for each rip and tear.

These photos were taken at my favorite place to photograph. I am so lucky to have access to such a wonderful place. If you don’t mind driving to your location then this is my first recommended spot. Its a very old barn in Elkwood Virginia. Its so lush and green from all this rain and it is just beautiful.

And one to show off the awesome old red boards on this barn. I LOVE it!

Newborns are like a box of chocolates; ya never know what your gonna get. Every baby has their own personality. Some are super sleepy and some are bouncing awake

Meet Baby B. We tried EVERYTHING to get this little guy to snooze but he was way to interested in what we were doing. He loved the big white umbrella that we use for lighting.

We did end up getting some super sweet awake shots. I like to call him “Squishy”. I could have cuddled this little guy all day long. He just wanted to know everything that was going on.

I had the pleasure of photographing this unbelievably gorgeous newborn baby girl last week in Washington D.C.  I love D.C. in the springtime. There’s just something about being in D.C. that tingles your senses. The history runs so deep and you can see it in everything.
